Endelig kunne hele Skogselskapet samles for Rådsmøte på Quality Hotel Gardemoen, 17.-18. november.
14 av 16 fylkesskogselskap var representert for å jobbe sammen med hvordan vi skal fremme forståelse for skogens mangesidige betydning og arbeide for et godt skogbruk.

Rådsmøte i Skogselskapet skjer en gang i året. Da samles representanter fra alle styrene i fykesskogselskapene og ansatte.
Her blir temaer som angår hele Skogselskapet tatt opp og forberedes til Landssmøte og de ulike årsmøtene i fylkene.
Endelig kunne vi samles og for første gang kunne styret til Det norske Skogselskap (DnS) håndhilse og ha et fysisk styremøte.

For Line Henriette Holten, som ble valgt som styreleder for DnS på Landsmøtet i 2020, var dette første Rådsmøte i Skogselskapet.

– Dette er veldig engasjerende og retningsgivende. Skogselskapet har noen kunnskapsrike medarbeidere og tillitsvalgte, sier Holten.

Viktige saker
På årets Rådsmøte har de største sakene vært Kommunikasjonsstrategi for Skogselskapet, satsningsområder, medlemsverving og allemannsretten. Et tidligere arbeid sammen med styrer og ansatte har resultert i en Kommunikasjonssstrategi, som ble presentert. Gjennom pandemien viser det seg at 32% driver mer friluftsliv enn tidligere, hva gjør vi med det med å informere om både skogbruk og allemannsrett?

I tillegg hadde vi besøk utenfra for inspirasjon og nyttige tips til hvordan vi kan tenke fremover.
Marit Venn fra ungdomsredaksjonen til Norsk Skogbruk, kunne vise til hva de har fått til gjennom et nyt prosjekt de siste tre årene.
Knut Johansen fra Oslo kommuneskoger, Bymiljøetaten, var innom og snakket om deres erfaringer i forhold til stedtilpasset skogbruk.
Fra Norges Jeger- og Fiskerforbund, fikk vi inspirasjon til å jobbe mer med medlemskap, av Anne Berit Lindstad.

Samarbeid med Skogkurs
Gjennom flere temaer både på samling de ansatte hadde før Rådsmøte og under selve Rådsmøte, ble samarbeidet Skogselskapet har til Skogkurs synliggjort.
Dette gjennom ulike prosjekter som rekruttering, Lære med Skogen og faglige samlinger. Ekstra hyggelig var det at kommende administrerende direktør John Are Linstad, tok seg tid til å delta på festmiddagen til Rådsmøte.

– To innholdsrike dager, med aktuelle saker, stort engasjement og kreativitet er fullført. Full tilslutning til ny kommunikasjonsstrategi og satsingsområdene; Skog & Klima, Skog & Helse og Skog & Skogbruk. Det er storveis å endelig kunne gjennomføre en fysisk samling for hele Skogselskapsfamilien igjen, sier Trygve Enger, administrerende direktør i Det norske Skogselskap.

For første gang på Rådsmøte
Christian Aasland, styreleder i Skogselskapet i Rogaland er på Rådsmøte for første gang.
Han vært engasjert i Skogselskapet i seks år og ble i september valgt som styreleder.

– Jeg syns det er en positiv stemning og retning. Spesielt er jeg imponert over at en såpass gammel organisasjon med så mange ulike fylkesselskap, klarer å samle seg om en felles Kommunikasjonsstrategi, smiler Aasland.

Til slutt fikk Rådsmøte en hilsen fra vår nye statsråd Sandra Borch. Hun understreket at hun ikke bare var landbruks- og matminister, men også skogsminister. Borch mente at Skogselskapet har en viktigere rolle enn noen gang i dagens samfunn og skogpolitikk.
