Tømmerhogst på pensum!
I høst var det behov for lærere på Kongsberg vgs. avd. Saggrenda. Siden Ingvild har kompetansen til å ta et slikt lærervikariat, og det passet for Skogselskapet å avse Ingvild, så vi på dette som en god mulighet til å bidra, og samtidig styrke vårt gode samarbeid med naturbruksskolen.
Skogselskapet ønsker alltid å følge opp morgendagens skogbrukere.

En solfylt, varm november dag ble elevene delt inn i grupper og opplæring i bruk av motorsag begynte. Bakgrunnskunnskapen var noe ulik blant elevene, noen hadde aldri prøvd motorsag før, mens andre hadde prøvd seg på både kvisting og felling tidligere.
Uansett bakgrunnskunnskaper måtte alle igjennom sikkerhets- og teknikkopplæring før de selv kunne starte opp sagene.

Sikkerhet er første prioritert når man skal arbeide med motorsag og hogst.
Personlig verneutstyr som vernebukse, varseljakke, hansker, vernesko og hjelm m/visir og hørselvern, må være på før man kan starte arbeidet. I tillegg må man ha kunnskap om utstyret sine funksjoner, eksempelvis hvorfor kjedebremsen er viktig og hva den beskytter mot.

Elevene lærte fort at å felle trær krever nøye planlegging og vurdering. Ikke bare måtte de vurdere hvilken retning trærne selv ville falle, de måtte også planlegge utkjøring med traktor og benkeopplegg for bedre ergonomi under kvistinga.
Med fare for å bruke mange faguttrykk, må det nevnes at elevene fikk opplæring om hvordan man lager styreskjær, hovedskjær og viktigheten av brytekant. Inne på skolen hadde de øvd seg på kvisteteknikk, ved bruk av 6-punkt prinsippet.

Ute i skogen hørte man lyden av motorsager, kiler som ble banket på plass, og trær som falt ned i bakken. Ingvild fulgte med på arbeidet og kom med råd om teknikk.
På få dager hadde samtlige elever god progresjon på presisjon, både under felling og ved kvisting.
Noen trær var gode eksempler i opplæringen, som dette grantreet angrepet av honningsopp.
«Presisjonskapping er mengdetrening, dette blir elevene flinkere på jo mer de øver. Dette treet var et godt læringsobjekt, da elevene selv fikk utfordringen med å ha kontroll på et så råttent tre helt til det lå på bakken. Det er slike trær, som ikke er helt ‘enkle», det er mest lærdom i.», sier Ingvild.

Elevene ble også utfordret på samarbeid, da de alltid jobbet parvis. Det å alltid være to er en stor fordel for sikkerheten til de som arbeider. De måtte diskutere og sammen bli enige om den beste løsningen for hvert tre.
Elevene var flinke på sikkerhet og når ting ikke gikk helt slik de hadde planlagt, reflekterte de godt rundt hvorfor treet datt bakpå, eller falt til siden for der de sikta.

Ingvild var vikar på Saggrenda to dager i uka, i 7 uker. Hun underviste vg1 naturbruk i programfag. I skoleåret 2021/22 er det 11 elever på vg1 naturbruk på Kongsberg videregåendeskole avd. Saggrenda.
